In 1975, Tony Bennett and Bill Evans released their first, self-titled studio recording. The follow-up one year later, Together Again, confirmed the pair had stumbled upon a special musical formula. Both albums remain publically and critically adored. The recordings demonstrate two masterful musicians in tandem; free-flowing musical conversation that arguably neither ever bettered.
Inspired by these great recordings, singer Hadley Fraser and pianist Will Butterworth sat down and respectfully imagined what would happen if those two men had the chance to record a third album today. This exciting new collaboration is the result. Jazz standards, Broadway curios, contemporary classics, all standing on the shoulders of those two jazz giants, Bennett & Evans.
Hadley Fraser: "…in attractively strong, ardent voice" (Independent) "has charm to burn." (Whatsonstage.com)
Will Butterworth: "…plays with spacious and fractious beauty. A rising Brit Jazz piano star." (Time Out)
