Gwyn Jay Allen: I Love Louis

Internationally acclaimed vocalist Gwyn Jay Allen returns to London with I Love Louis - his remarkable tribute to the music of Louis 'Satchmo' Armstrong, following sell-out shows at Ronnie Scott's and Pizza Express Jazz Club.

Allen has worked and recorded with an array of musical giants such as Diana Ross, Jamiroquai, Maxi Priest, Basement Jaxx, jazz icon Herbie Hancock and gospel giant Kirk Franklin. Allen starred as Cab Calloway in the long running West End Musical The Blues Brothers and became a finalist as Louis Armstrong in ITV's Stars in Their Eyes.

Allen's first Album, Land of Milk and Money, was launched at The Royal Albert Hall supporting Kirk Franklin. His second album, I Love Louis: A Creole Tribute to Louis Armstrong - produced by musical director extraordinaire Alex Wilson - features Grammy Award winning trumpeter Roy Hargrove. The Album has toured the world and after a stellar performance at Louis Armstrong's Museum House in New York, the acclaimed album was made part of The Louis Armstrong Achieves.

Allen is now on his third album, Freetown -The Return, which he recently performed in support of The Joss Stone World Tour in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
