"Elegance and sophistication personified... little short of miraculous, sheer class...'" Musician Magazine
"Alldis is unique, a polished and delicate jazz pianist, he performs with such subtle precision..." The Observer
The very talented singer and pianist Dominic Alldis performs a mix of familiar jazz standards, including songs by Cole Porter and Jerome Kern, comedy classics by Blossom Dearie and Dave Frishberg, and a tribute to the creator of Brazilian bossa-nova, Antonio Carlos Jobim.
Alldis began his musical career as resident pianist at London's legendary jazz cabaret venue Pizza on the Park, where he played opposite many of the world's leading jazz and cabaret entertainers, including Blossom Dearie, Steve Ross, Marion Montgomery and Mark Murphy. Since then he has built an impressive career as a jazz pianist, singer, conductor and professor at the Royal Academy of Music. His preferred repertoire is the Great American Songbook, as well as French chanson, inspired by two years playing on the Paris jazz scene.
