Curtis Brown Present a Comedy Night in aid of The Big House Charity

Curtis Brown is pleased to present a showcase of comedy clients in aid of The Big House charity. The Big House works with young people who have been through the care system and are finding life difficult. They provide a platform for them to participate in the making of theatre and to have their voices heard.

The night presents an eclectic and exciting showcase of talent compered by the delectable Diane Chorley (or the Duchess of Canvay as she is also known) who returns from Edinburgh following her smash hit show Rhythm of Live.

Line-up includes:

John-Luke Roberts has just returned from another sell out run in Edinburgh with his critically acclaimed show John-Luke Roberts: Look On My Works, Ye Mighty, and Despair!. Trained by Philippe Gaulier, he is the co-founder and co-host of cult comedy show The Alternative Comedy Memorial Society, is a regular at the Edinburgh Fringe festival and is the co-writer of UKTV sitcom Bull.

Jenny Bede is an actress, stand-up comedian and writer. Her TV credits include Love Sick, Murder In Successville and her own BBC Comedy Feed, Jenny Bede: AAA. Her unique brand of musical comedy focuses heavily on pop culture and she won Best Newcomer at the Musical Comedy Awards in 2013.

Jack Rooke, star of BBC Three documentary Happy Man and Broadcast Hot Shot writer 2017, he has just completed an Edinburgh run of his critically acclaimed show Happy Hour.

Emma Sidi, comedian extraordinaire will present one of her many loveable and hilarious characters from her two sell-out Edinburgh shows Telenovela and Character Breakdown. You can also catch Emma on screen in Pls Like (BBC3) and W1A (BBC1).
