Allan Stewart started in the business at the tender age of 10. That means he has been in show business for fif… fort… thir... a very long time!

Allan's first big break came on the TV show, Sunday Night at the London Palladium, where overnight he became a name in his native Scotland. His own TV series followed for the next ten years and his Scottish success led to the new ITV series, Copy Cats.

Allan was asked to take over the lead in the musical, Jolson, at the Victoria Palace Theatre. He played this part for over a year in London and then went to Toronto with the show. As much as Allan loved TV, live theatre had always been his passion. Many more theatre shows followed including the award-winning Stones In His Pockets and Mel Brooks The Producers.

In 1997 he was invited to play Dame in Edinburgh at the Kings Theatre, thus beginning a twenty year association with the famous theatre. He has now signed a new 6 year deal to appear in panto which last year drew an audience of over 90 thousand people.

Allan has also produced, written and directed the hugely successful, Big Big Variety Show, for several years which has taken him back to his variety roots.
