"Suavely entertaining... superbly polished." Time Out
STORMY WEATHER, a show in aid of Leuka, the specialist charity for leukaemia research, addresses the ups and downs of life with a light, humorous touch, through a variety of music performed by Adam Kirkaldy and the renowned Stefan Bednarczyk.
By day Adam is Front of House Training Manager for Corbin & King. He studied opera at university in Johannesburg and enjoyed a successful career in musical theatre before moving into education and the world of restaurants. He has worked with Chris Corbin, co-owner of The Wolseley, The Delaunay, Brasserie Zedel, Colbert and Fischer's for over five years. Chris is a Trustee and Vice-Chairman of Leuka and a survivor of chronic myeloid leukaemia.
Adam is joined by Stefan Bednarczyk, actor, musical director and cabaret performer. Described as "one of the most important interpreters of Coward that we have", Stefan's extensive credits as Musical Director include shows at the National Theatre, the Barbican, the Almeida, Hampstead and Open Air Theatre, Regent's Park, and the British premiere of Boy Meets Boy at the Jermyn Street Theatre. As a solo cabaret performer he has enjoyed seasons in London, New York and many major European cities.
Other guests on the night include Oliver Smith, Corbin and King's recruitment specialist with his band Bridge The Dark, regular Crazy Coqs performers Mychelle Colleary and Gary Bland, and renowned Scottish fiddler Carol Anderson, who worked with Adam in Scotland when he was teaching music.
£5 of the £15 ticket price will be donated to Leuka.
