Jessica Martin's last show at Crazy Coqs, You Made Me Love You, was a heartfelt tribute to her idol Judy Garland. Since then, Jessica has written and illustrated her own graphic memoir Life Drawing: A Life Under Lights and has created this special, very personal cabaret to coincide with the book's publication with Unbound.
Daughter of bandleader Ido Martin, young Jessica first performed as a jazz singer with her father in various London nightclubs. She found early success as an impressionist in legendary television shows Copycats and Spitting Image before moving on to play leading roles in many musicals including Me and My Girl, Mack and Mabel and most recently Elf the Musical. She has a loyal following as a celebrated Doctor Who actor and is also a critically acclaimed graphic novelist.
Accompanied by Inga Davis-Rutter and directed
by Ben Stock, Jessica will share her unique story
in entertainment with songs, anecdotes and will, of course, be
channelling her diva goddesses Judy, Barbra and Julie amongst
Jessica will be signing and sketching copies of her memoir after the show.
"A gutsy, versatile singer and also a very talented mimic, a musical comedy star of the first magnitude" - Time Out
