  • Bring the UK’s most awarded female jazz vocalist Claire Martin, together with the most in demand big band singer, Iain Mackenzie, supported by Britain’s most highly awarded and distinctive Jazz Pianist, David Newton and you have a wonderful musical evening with this unique trio that is Three’s Company.

    Claire Martin returns to the Crazy Coqs after her sold out concert with David Newton last October. She has released 18 CD’s and performed all over the world with her trio and worked extensively with the late Sir Richard Rodney Bennett in an intimate cabaret duo setting in England  and USA.

    No stranger to JBGB Events promotions, where she sold out in our 2019 and 2021 Jazz Divas Series, Claire opened the 2015 London Jazz Festival; sang in the 2016 Jazz Divas series; sold out Ronnie Scots with her Swedish trio to wide acclaim, and has performed “Just the Two of Us” concerts with Joe Stilgoe at St James Theatre and Pizza Express Jazz Club on Dean Street.

    Awarded the OBE for her services to jazz.

  • Iain Mackenzie is  straight from the “Cool School” of Chet Baker, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra & Mel Torme. Coming from the pedigree of the Guildhall School of Music, he is one of the most in demand jazz, lounge and big band singers in the UK. Performing regularly with world class orchestras and big bands including BBC and RTE and the London Dance Orchestra at The Ritz Hotel. Iain is currently the principal male vocalist with Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra.

    Iain’s most recent album “A Swingin’ Songbook” of original compositions, with Geoff Gascoyne,  in the Sinatra tradition has enjoyed 5-Star  critical acclaim, also featuring much loved classics such as ‘People will Say We’re in Love’,  ‘I won’t Dance’ and ‘Can’t we be Friends’ amongst other stylish reworkings of the Great American Songbook.


    David Newton, is the UK’s most highly regarded and record breaking award winning jazz pianist – 13 times winner of the Best Pianist in the British Jazz Awards.

    Whilst the most in demand accompanist for singers and instrumentalists alike, and the band member most often selected to appear with jazz greats, David is also his own soloist and creative master. He is not only able to swing with a hard driving left hand but also perform delightful heartfelt ballads vowing the most romantic feelings.

    His solo recordings of “Tea for Two”, “Sweet Lorraine”, “They Can’t Take That Away From Me”, “Have You Met Miss Jones” & “Stompin’ At The Savoy”, among many others, are already collectors items.
