Every Friday and Saturday, following the 9.15PM ticketed event earlier that night, our distinctive cabaret space will play host to this late-night music show.
With a different band each day, playing from around 11.00pm until 12.30am, the diverse line-up will champion the likes of Blues, Jazz, Swing, Cuban, Calypso, Americana, African Highlife and everything in between.
Please do not book tickets. This show is completely free of charge with no reservation required. Entry will be on a first come, first served basis.
YAALA BALLIN WITH THE STEFAN MELOVSKI TRIO
Born in Israel, Yaala Ballin graduated from the prestigious Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts, moving to New York City in 2004 to study with Sheila Jordan. Yaala has recorded 3 CDs – “Travelin’ Alone” (Smalls Records), “On The Road” (Gallery Records), “Live Session” (Gut String Records) – and was recently featured on “The Music Of Duke Jordan” (Steeplechase Records) with the Chris Byars Septet, for which she also wrote original lyrics.
In addition to appearances in New York City (Smalls, Smoke, Birdland), she tours frequently in Europe and has been featured at festivals and concert series in the Middle East.
She’ll be joined by the local rising star in the genre that is Stefan Melovski and his trio, compiled by the talents of Robbie Ellison on drums and Eleazar Ruiz Spreafico on double bass.
