“What a voice! The future belongs to vocalists and Richard Shelton is going to lead the way there!” – Gillian Reynolds, BBC Radio 2

“Shelton is the essence of cool”- Bonnie Priever, LA Times

“Richard Shelton is a superior singer who tips his hat to a legend with grace and elegance on ‘An Englishman In Love In L.A.’ on an album that Sinatra himself would be proud of, well done!” – Edward Blanco, All About Jazz

“His selection of material is as impeccable as his wardrobe, and his style is shark skin sharp.” – George Harris, Jazz Weekly

As a Brit based in LA, Shelton says, “This album has taken years to record and perfect and means the world to me. The songs represent life’s journey which we all experience – hope and joy, love and loss  the eureka moments! I’m especially drawn to the optimism of tomorrow, beautifully captured in the original songs, ‘Lost & Found’ and ‘An Englishman in Love in LA’. There’s a wonderful saying, ‘Man cannot discover new oceans unless he first has courage to lost sight of the shore’. Much of that optimism is captured in those songs and arrangements and I hope will bring a lot of joy to people, especially after the last 2 years we’ve all been through.”

Richard has performed by royal command, with orchestras and big bands globally and is widely recognised as the worlds leading dramatic interpreter of Frank Sinatra, with numerous awards and international critical acclaim following his performance in ‘Rat Pack Confidential’ and the drama ’Sinatra: RAW’, which Shelton also wrote and. which was a global sell-out.
