  • Two of our greatest Jazz musicians, the incredible voice of Tina May and the gifted pianist James Pearson, arrive with their album launch.  It doesn’t get any better than this.

Tina’s ability to bend the notes, with her distinctive original phrasing and improvisations, ensures her concerts never cease to surprise and amaze. The combination of her almost effortless and subtle interpretation of the widest range of songs, coupled with her delightful engaging personality, makes Tina one of the most in demand vocalists, always sending her audiences homeward after her concerts with a spring in their step with everyone beaming the broadest smiles.

Here’s Tina singing Duncan Lamont’s “Where Were You In April”:

James, the music director of Ronnie Scott’s, is one of the UK’s greatest pianists, whether as a soloist, where his impressions of Oscar Peterson are must go to ; or with other pianists in London’s 2 pianos festival; or as an ace accompanist to many wonderful singers in the Jazz Divas series.

Here’s James Pearson’s  magical piano playing at Ronnie Scott’s.

JBGB Events are enthusiastic promoters of the new album launch and are thrilled to be doing it at the re opening of Crazy Coqs.

The now departed Duncan Lamont commissioned a new album of his songs from Tina and James.  Sadly Duncan passed away before he got to perform  them. But instead of dropping the idea,  his family demanded Tina and James proceed to make it a final sign off to Duncan.

They have done it. October 13th concerts provide an opportunity to drench yourselves in Duncan’s songs with their  imaginative, witty and emotional lyrics and sensitive stylish swinging music.

  • Duncan’s songs are great and you won’t get a better cabaret duo than Tina and James.
