  • One of the most exciting, unique, and outrageously fabulous talents in traditional jazz, Lana-May is a captivating bandleader and multi-instrumentalist. Inspired by the likes of Sidney Bechet, Johnny Dodds, Bessie Smith, Jimmy Noone and Albert Nicholas; prepare to be transported back in time to the gin bars of 1930s New Orleans and Montmartre, as Lana-May and her band perform an eclectic mix of hot jazz, sultry melodies, and filthy blues.  With her unique full-bodied sound and passionate playing, coupled with her dazzling vintage aesthetic, Lana-May creates an immersive, authentic cabaret-jazz experience not to be missed!

After her sold out show in February, Lana-May is beyond excited to be returning to the iconic stage of the West End’s Crazy Coqs for the EFG London Jazz Festival, with a new line up and new repertoire, but still as filthy, scandalous, and unpredictable as ever! She is delighted to be joined by Christian Smith on Piano, Ben Crane on Double Bass, Callum Smith on Drums and Mortimer Hodge on Guitar.
