  • Kate Garner blew into Crazy Coqs like a balmy April zephyr, with the promise of spring and proceeded to deliver two of the most delightful sets-one of the most satisfying evenings I’ve seen on the current cabaret circuit” – Jazz Journal

Singer/songwriter and daughter of Chas from ‘Chas & Dave,’ Kate Garner returns to Crazy Coqs to take you on a musical journey back to The Art Deco era.

You will meet some of the most fascinating legends of the time who have inspired Kate to put their remarkable stories into songs that she has written: Noël Coward, known as ‘The Master’ and for very good reason, Josephine Baker, who danced her way through the Jazz Age and later played her part in the war by joining the French resistance, Agatha Christie the Queen of fictional crime, Wallis Simpson the woman who rocked the monarchy and Jean Patou who created the most expensive perfume in the world.

Join Kate at the piano as she sings the ‘Songs About The Legends Of The Art Deco Era’ together with special guests and a selection of familiar jazz favourites.

Kate is pleased to have as her guest the amazing clarinet player Julian Stringle who has performed with Kenny Ball, John Dankworth, Cleo Laine and Digby Fairweather.
