  • Kate Garner returns with a brand new solo show featuring original songs about the legends of the art deco era

The mysterious disappearance of author Agatha Christie, the woman who rocked the monarchy – Wallis Simpson, the man who created the most expensive perfume in the world – Jean Patou and the Queen of ceramic design-  Clarice Cliff: these are just some of the many legends of the art deco period whose remarkable stories Kate tells through her songs.

She performs them at the piano, together with some of the best loved jazz standards in the authentic musical style of the day.

  • Kate has been writing music since she was a child, but her love of the 20s and 30s began when her dad, Chas Hodges of ‘Chas & Dave’, bought her a wind up gramophone.

Kate has written ‘Mapp & Lucia-The Musical’ based on the books by EF Benson, set in the 1930s. It is currently in development with Runaway Entertainment

  • Garner plunders this productive era with great aplomb.
