  • Hadley Fraser and Will Butterworth are back at Crazy Coqs after their stand-out, sell-out performances in 2017.

A joyous, improvised, intimate journey through jazz standards, unexpected Broadway pearls and reinvented pop classics, the duo explore further what first brought them together  – the simple beauty of piano and voice together.

  • Hadley Fraser’s work as an actor and singer has seen him become a mainstay of the West End, Broadway and beyond. Recent theatre work includes Cy Coleman’s jazz masterpiece City of Angels at the Garrick Theatre and Annie Baker’s The Antipodes at the National Theatre. As a vocalist he has appeared in venues from The Royal Albert Hall in London to Birdland in New York and the Bunkamura Orchard Hall in Tokyo.

“Hadley Fraser’s voice is a golden glory” – Sam Marlowe, The Arts Desk.

“…it’s safe to say he’s entered a new league of excellence.” – Mark Shenton.

Will Butterworth’s has worked with many of the UK’s finest musicians. He has released 4 albums as leader and played on many others as a sideman. Notable collaborations include ‘The Stravinsky Duo’ with Dylan Howe on drums, reinterpreting the works of Stravinsky, and more recently ‘Aurelius’ – a conversational piano trio led by bassist/composer Marcus Penrose.

Will Butterworth is “a brilliant young pianist… Stunning displays of virtuosity…a remarkable talent” – The Jazzman.

“A precociously talented modern jazz pianist who plays with spacious and fractious beauty.” – Time Out.
