  • Having recently shared the stage in the first theatrical adaptation of the iconic movie Peau d’Ane by Michel Legrand and Jacques Demy at Theatre Marigny in Paris, Emma-Kate Nelson and Marie Oppert return to London to share a night and present their own musical world ! 

     

    The two singers met in a production of Kurt Weill’s Street Scene at the Theatre du Châtelet in Paris, they also feature together on Peau d’Ane’s cast album recording (Sony Classical) as well as several live performances in Radio France’s concert hall.

    These two leading ladies in Paris and London welcome you to a magical night featuring Gershwin, Berlin, Legrand, Sondheim, Rodgers, French songs and more….

     Emma-Kate and Marie will be joined by Charlotte Gauthier on the piano.

  • Marie Oppert was picked at 17 years old by Michel Legrand to play the leading role of Geneviève in his Umbrellas of Cherbourg alongside Natalie Dessay at the Châtelet Theatre. Other recent roles include Hodel in Barrie Kosky’s production of Fiddler on the Roof (Opera du Rhin), Johanna in Sweeney Todd (Opera de Reims) and Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady (Arena hall of Orleans). She studied musical theatre at the Marymount Manhattan College in New York with a Fulbright grant, won two Awards at the Lotte Lenya Competition and was nominated as Revelation Lyrical Artist 2021 in the Victoires Classical Music Awards. 

     

    Marie’s is celebrating her first album Enchantée produced with Warner Classics and recorded with the Lille Symphonic Orchestra, conducted by Nicholas Skilbeck.


    Emma Kate Nelson is a British Musical Theatre performer working internationally. With brand new orchestrations by Callum Au (Ronnie Scott’s Big Band Orchestra), Emma Kate performs songs from her favourite shows. She has appeared as a soloiste in White Christmas, 42nd Street, Singing In The Rain, Street Scene, Thé Pajama Game, The Boyfriend, Lady Be Good, Victor Victoria, Call Me Madam, The Enchanted Pig, The Beggars Opera, Peau D’ane, Aspects Of Love, The Music Man, The Sound Of Music, Annie, Brigadoon, Starlight Express, Stephen Ward, I Lombardi and more and continues to perform throughout Europe and internationally.
