Across her 40 year career she has been internationally acclaimed for combining immaculate vocal technique, impassioned performance, piercing insight and beautifully unexpected musical arrangements to reinterpret European and American popular songs in a manner which The New York Times described as ”revelatory”.
She has released over 20 recordings many of which have become regarded as classics. American jazz writer Will Freidwald devoted a chapter to her Dylan collection Every Grain of Sand in his book The Great Jazz and Pop Vocal Albums.

Originally emerging from the alternative cabaret scene of the 1970s and 80s, cutting her teeth alongside the likes of Julian Clary, Alexei Sayle and Arnold Brown, her ability to deliver shows which are utterly alive, spontaneously responding to the world in and outside the performance space, is second to none.
Awards include: New York Nightlife Award for Outstanding Cabaret Vocalist, Backstage Bistro Award for Best International Artist, and Time Out New York’s #1 Top Live Cabaret Act for 2011.
Jamie Safir is a 27 year-old pianist, composer and arranger effortlessly working across jazz, pop and musical theatre in the UK, working regularly with Will Young, and The Brand New Heavies, Olly Murs, Rebecca Ferguson & Steps and up and coming jazz star Judy Jackson.
With Jungr he collaborated on Bob, Brel and Me (released 2019), with Ian Shaw and Iain Bellamy he released the highly acclaimed What’s New in 2020. He works closely with Emma Smith and with Liane Carroll, Natalie Williams, Stan Sulzman, and the Ronnie Scott’s All Stars.
He was a keyboardist in the hit 2017 musical Bat Out Of Hell, MD for Patti Boulaye and for ‘The Sweetest Sounds of Rogers and Hart’ featuring Claire Moore & Robert Meadmore.
