  • Award-winning singer/pianist Eric Yves Garcia is elated to make his Crazy Coqs return with an evening of songs that reveal fresh starts or holding fast, of musical conversations that knit us tighter, or if journeying solo, reaffirm our place and passions.

This program plucks gems both prized and hidden from jazz and the American songbook, Brazilian, folk, saloon and chanson. Whether Sinatra to Dylan, from Newley and Bricusse to Aznavour, Jobim to the Avett Brothers, this will be an unmissable tête-à-tête, heart-wise and with plenty of mischief.

Eric Yves Garcia is one of the most coveted singer/pianists in NYC. His latest residency has been in the Two E Lounge of The Pierre Hotel on Fifth Avenue. Eric has made multiple appearances at Carnegie Hall, 54 Below, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Birdland, Town Hall and the Café Carlyle. Garcia made his London debut at Crazy Coqs followed by several engagements at The Pheasantry, and in Paris, in a series of week-long runs at Club Rayé in the Marais District.

    line

“…A handsome singer pianist with a genuine star quality.” -The New York Times

“… Incredibly moving and very funny—often both at the same time.” -The Wall Street Journal

“…When he sang Cole Porter’s “I’m a Gigolo,” it was easy to get lost in the warmth of his voice; when he played piano in a Manhattan-inspired medley, he seemed to have more fingers than the usual allotment.” -The Chicago Tribune

“…he embodies, in every way, what it is to be a New York City nightclub entertainer.” – Broadwayworld.com

“Captivating is an oft overused word but it describes Garcia perfectly. From an astounding musicianship and controlled velvet voice, to his well-honed comic presence, the man is a delight. If a performance could transport the audience to another era, one of forgotten romance, that still manages to sound as fresh as it did sixty years ago, then this is it.” – Jonathan Baz Reviews, UK, ****
